Our Usual Road - (at an unusual time)

A romantic ride out over the National Peak District to Buxton seemed the perfect way to make the most of the dry weather - while it lasts. The fact that it was night time and the temperature was getting chilly didn’t cross our mind... at first...

A starry sky is always a romantic back drop - it’s also a very chilly one! Now I’ll admit that I’m not as thin as I was, but the fact that I look so much like the Michelin man is more to do with the number of layers I was wearing and the fact that my bike jacket is a good size too big for me so it will accommodate these layers.

It's also fair to say that the ONLY reason we popped into a late night diner for fish and chips was to keep warm. Oh my, we certainly know how to have a good time. We've been married for over 23 years and romance isn't dead - fish, chips and a pot of tea is a sure way to a woman's heart! (Oh, and a handsome motorbike too - of course!)
